Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a Contract-to-permanent position where you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices for freight and direct customer billing. Responsibilities:

• Process freight billing with accuracy and efficiency to meet deadlines.

• Handle direct customer billing, ensuring invoices are prepared and delivered promptly.

• Verify billing data to maintain consistency and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for invoice preparation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during the billing process.

• Maintain organized records of billing activities for auditing purposes.

• Respond to inquiries related to billing and provide excellent customer service.

• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes for greater efficiency.

• Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support the billing department. Requirements • Proven experience in billing or a related administrative role.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Proficiency in using billing software and systems.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of freight billing processes is a plus.

• Familiarity with compliance standards in billing and invoicing.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or business is preferred.
