    Description

    Are you an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) professional looking for your next challenge? Robert Half is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist for an exciting 8-month project with one of our clients in the Iowa City area. This hybrid role allows you to work primarily remotely but requires the flexibility to work onsite as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Process high-volume invoicing accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Manage and verify Purchase Orders (POs) for alignment with invoices.

    + Ensure timely payment to vendors while maintaining strong internal controls.

    + Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all invoices and payments are accounted for.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies or PO-related issues.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Must have demonstrated experience handling high-volume invoicing in an Accounts Payable role.

    + Knowledge of Purchase Order workflows is required; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

    + Familiarity with financial processes and compliance standards.

    + Proven experience identifying discrepancies and providing solutions

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Schedule and Workplace Flexibility:

    + This is a hybrid position: Primary work will be conducted remotely, but the ability to commute to the Iowa City office on occasion is required. This role requires working Monday - Friday from 8am- 4:30pm.
