Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team in St. Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in managing credit and collections processes, ensuring accounts receivable are handled efficiently and in compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset to resolve customer disputes and contribute to financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate credit applications and determine appropriate credit limits based on established company guidelines.

• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payment and address overdue invoices promptly.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all credit and collection activities.

• Generate and distribute regular reports summarizing the status of accounts receivable.

• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Review and update credit policies and procedures periodically to align with business needs.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports related to credit and collections.

• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in all credit and collection activities.

• Perform additional duties related to credit and collections as assigned.

Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.

• Strong knowledge of credit analysis and approval processes.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable management and billing collection procedures.

• Ability to evaluate credit applications and make sound decisions based on company policies.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for resolving disputes and managing customer relationships.

• Proficient in corporate and consumer credit practices.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to credit and collections.
