Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an experienced Lawson Business Analyst to join our team remotely on a 12–18-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Lawson database and related tables, advanced technical proficiency in SQL, and expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Looker. This role plays an integral part in supporting on-going systems transformation efforts, fostering data-driven decision-making, and enhancing collaboration between finance and IT teams.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on Lawson modules, ensuring performance optimization and system/data accuracy.

• Develop and manage complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate Lawson data.

• Design and deliver impactful dashboards and data visualizations using Looker to support reporting, KPIs, and operational insights.

• Work cross-functionally with Accounting, IT, and reporting teams to define system requirements and implement enhancements.

• Lead or contribute to system upgrades, patches, and enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in Lawson, including workflows and data structures.

• Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

• Strong experience with Looker (LookML, dashboard creation, and visualization best practices) or similar data visualization tools.

• Proven ability to merge technical expertise with a functional understanding of processes to optimize systems.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an aptitude for working across technical and business teams.
