Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Oxnard, California. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of accounting tasks, including general ledger reconciliations, regulatory reporting, accounts payable processing, and month-end closing entries.

• Drive improvements in departmental processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting workflows.

• Maintain and monitor general ledger systems, ensuring accuracy and resolving system-related issues.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Prepare reconciliations and reports for loans, investments, and other financial transactions.

• Develop and maintain accounting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other key accounts.

• Identify opportunities for operational improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance productivity.

• Provide backup support for various accounting functions to ensure seamless operations within the department. Requirements • Extensive knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

• Proven problem-solving capabilities and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes, journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.

• Experience in bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
