Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Financial Controller (Portfolio Manager) to join our dynamic team in Orlando. This role will oversee and manage the financial operations of the IT department, supporting both capital and expense budgets across various projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced financial analysis capabilities and play a pivotal role in helping IT leadership stay aligned with organizational financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee finance and budget responsibilities for the IT department, managing both operational and project spend.
+ Prepare and present monthly financial statements and variance analysis comparing forecasts, plans, and actuals.
+ Consolidate capital and expense forecasts and provide monthly updates to IT leadership.
+ Track and manage resources and costs across the IT portfolio using financial and project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
+ Review and validate invoice coding against forecasts and budgets; support invoice processing, purchase orders, and requisitions.
+ Forecast gains/losses and evaluate forecast accuracy throughout the fiscal year.
+ Liaise with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
+ Provide mentoring and financial guidance to fellow analysts and stakeholders.
+ Maintain budget tracking tools and support internal financial audits or reporting requests.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Accounting and/or Finance, preferably within a complex IT organization.
+ Must be highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
+ Proven experience managing budgets of $10M+.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles, capital and expense budgeting, forecasting, and accruals.
+ Familiarity with the Project Management Institute (PMI) project lifecycle.
+ Working knowledge of SAP.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience using Clarity or other PPM tools is a plus.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience required.
