Manufacturing Engineer I - Metals

Plascore has an opening for a Manufacturing EngineerI in Metals department. As a manufacturing engineer I you will be engineering projects to provide better value. Conduct test programs, devise new changes or processes, monitor, and improve quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise the production of products to meet customer requirements and internal process requirements.

+ Conduct studies that correlate performance of Plascore products under various process conditions.

+ Assist in the design and performing of various experiments on the product line to improve quality and consistency of the products.

+ Assist mechanical designers to design improvements on the exiting equipment or build new equipment.

+ Contact suppliers regarding availability and technical performance of components and raw materials.

+ Work with other engineers in problem-solving teams and quality related design issues.

+ Assist in the documentation generation and control of drawings and tooling, manufacturing instruction, preventative maintenance procedure, engineering reports, etc.

+ Assist in the evaluation of new technology and devising of new machines, methods, and processes to improve profitability, quality, cycle time and safety.

+ Assist in the optimization of assets as far as space requirements, time planning and value distribution to improve product yields, reduce scrap, reduce direct man-hours consumed per unit of product.

+ Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

+ Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.

+ Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.

+ Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Preferred in Manufacturing.

+ 2-3 years progressively more responsible experience.

+ Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed

+ Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

+ Good math and analytical skills

Additional Requirements:

+ Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
