Course offerings may vary in the future. Experience teaching and/or working in the business field is highly preferred. This position works primarily with Junior and Senior level students earning college credits while they are in high school.
Biddeford Regional Center of Technology, a secondary career and technical education school, is seeking a dynamic, creative instructor to teach Business to our students in grades 9-12. We are seeking an individual who would contribute to a positive work environment, is passionate about teaching, and wants to make a difference in students' lives.Brief Job Duties:The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
+ Developing and administering school curriculum for Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, and Investing and Personal Finance,Sales and Marketing
+ Conducting ongoing assessments of student learning and modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs, including students with special needs
+ Encouraging parental involvement in students' education

1. Eligible for appropriate Maine Department of Education certification (898);2. Valid DOE fingerprinting certification3. Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred; MBA or related degree preferred.4. Prior business ownership or financial experience a plus;5. Experience in accounting, business management, finance and working in the business arena;6. Teaching experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS1. Enthusiasm and willingness to be creative in executing a business training program for high school students;2. Ability to simulate work environments in a classroom;3. Ability to assist in the coordination of extended learning opportunities for students and commuity;4. Excellent written and communication skills,5. Ability to make connections with local businesses and college representatives to provide career development opportunities for students;6. Coordinates live work projects with classroom work to facilitate meeting goals and objectives of the curriculum.7. Ability and willingness to promote the program and the school to students, parents and other targeted audiences.8.
