Description

Our client in vibrant downtown Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist for a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This exciting contract-to-hire role requires expertise in SAP, three-way matching, and managing high transaction volumes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

+ Process and verify a high volume of invoices using SAP with precision and efficiency.

+ Perform three-way matching reconciling purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips to ensure accuracy.

+ Review vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors.

+ Handle payment processing (checks, ACH, and wires) in a timely manner.

+ Identify and address issues within accounts payable and escalate when necessary.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure deadlines are met and processes run smoothly.

+ Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.

Requirements

+ 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

+ Proficiency with SAP (required); prior experience with other ERP systems is a plus.

+ Strong understanding of three-way matching principles and practices.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Ability to manage a fast-paced workload with accuracy and meet deadlines effectively.

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

+ Knowledge of general accounting principles.

+ Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas).

+ Experience in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or healthcare (preferred but not required).
