    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting practices. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth reconciliation processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy between reports and accounting software.

    • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and accurately deposit checks into the appropriate accounts.

    • Generate pivot tables and utilize VLOOKUP functions in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

    • Assist in balancing transactions and maintaining records within a specialized accounting system.

    • Prepare financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes.

    • Collaborate with team members and management to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

    • Adapt to training on the organization's specialized accounting system to ensure seamless operations.

    Requirements

    • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

    • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and

    • Ability to work with specialized accounting systems and adapt to new technologies.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and resolve discrepancies.

    • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
