Description
We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This is a Contract-to-long-term opportunity that begins as a fully remote, part-time role with approximately 20 hours per week. Over time, as the company transitions to a hybrid model, the position may evolve into a long-term and full time role, offering growth potential in tandem with organizational expansion.
Responsibilities:
• Manage FMLA, maternity leave, and leave of absence processes and provide support for internal employees' incident inquiries.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and onboarding agendas after gaining familiarity with the role.
• Administer payroll operations and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interview logistics, and onboarding.
• Contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative company culture.
• Assist with processing salary adjustments, promotions, and the preparation of commission structure documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Work within the company's HRIS system (Oracle) to manage and update employee records effectively.
• Collaborate on initiatives aimed at improving employee relations and benefit functions.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR-related roles.
• Proficiency in employee relations and HR administration.
• Hands-on experience with onboarding processes and benefit management.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms, preferably Oracle.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and manage SOPs.
• Knowledge of payroll systems such as Paychex.
• Effective communication skills to address employee concerns and support HR functions.
• Ability to work during designated business hours aligned with the company's schedule. TalentMatch®
