Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will oversee various accounting functions, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash management, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with both domestic and international transactions, utilizing advanced accounting software tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping and journal entries using QuickBooks Pro.

• Perform monthly reconciliations for operating accounts and over 50 trust accounts.

• Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts to assess financial needs.

• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes with precision.

• Process domestic and international wire transfers through online banking systems.

• Generate financial statements for external reconciliation purposes.

• Compile annual client reports detailing incoming and outgoing transactions.

• Create internal management reports to support decision-making processes.

• Maintain strong relationships with banks, vendors, and insurance providers.

• Execute tax payments, deposits, and end-of-period close procedures while ensuring compliance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Solid verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in a second language is preferred.

• Experience with electronic funds transfers and general ledger management.

• Ability to forecast and budget in a contingent fee environment.

• Knowledge of maintaining trust accounts and allocating funds accurately.

• Familiarity with tracking profitability across divisions and entities using accounting software.
