Description We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team in Amarillo, Texas. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and a knack for project coordination. You will play a vital role in supporting accounting operations, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks while contributing to various projects within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the accounting operations team, including handling invoicing and verifying payroll accuracy.
• Create and manage spreadsheets to track project-related data and ensure timely reporting.
• Perform HR onboarding tasks and assist with maintaining employee records.
• Verify and review timesheets for accuracy and compliance before approval.
• Organize and maintain project files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Conduct quality checks on financial transactions to ensure precision and compliance.
• Utilize intermediate-level Excel skills to analyze data and generate reports.
• Coordinate shipping and scanning functions to support project logistics.
• Manage timelines and schedules to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or project coordination role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and handling data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new responsibilities.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
