Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Glendale, California. Responsibilities:

• Review and verify expense reports, reconciling them with account balances and other financial records.

• Manage vendor payments by verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving any discrepancies.

• Monitor outstanding financial obligations, identify discount opportunities, and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.

• Reconcile monthly statements and transactions to maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.

• Handle petty cash by recording entries, verifying documentation, and ensuring proper distribution.

• Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Process invoices, including coding and preparing for check runs, to maintain timely payments.

• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other accounting software systems.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Proven ability to maintain confidential and accurate records.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, check runs, and invoice processing.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
