    Description

    The Senior IT Project Manager – Desktop Refresh is responsible for leading the end-to-end management of multiple concurrent projects focused on the deployment of desktop computers, laptops, and printers. These projects support the replacement of end-of-life equipment, broken devices, and the provisioning of new hardware for incoming employees, in alignment with company policy.

     

    This role involves defining project scope and objectives, managing resources, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle—from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. The Sr. IT PM coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

     

    Given the high volume of equipment tracked, the ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, particularly in financial oversight and asset management. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Lead the successful execution and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely receipt and invoicing of all project-related equipment.

    + Oversee inventory transfers, ensuring accurate tracking and deployment of all hardware removed from inventory.

    + Collaborate closely with functional operations managers and field personnel to maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data.

    + Drive projects through all phases—from initiation and planning to execution, delivery, and closure.

    + Oversee daily project operations, including task coordination and resource management.

    + Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, scope statements, work breakdown structures, cost estimates, resource plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.

    + Monitor and manage project financials, including forecasting, invoice processing, budget tracking, and variance reporting.

    + Plan, lead, and document meetings with project teams and stakeholders to support effective communication and decision-making.

    + Manage a portfolio of six or more concurrent projects, typically involving small, focused teams.

    + Coordinate with other project managers to ensure alignment with broader business and operational goals.

    + Lead steering committee meetings with IT and business leadership to provide updates and drive strategic alignment.

    + Facilitate technical discussions and requirements-gathering sessions to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

    + Serve as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear, consistent communication.

    + Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support project success.

    + Foster a high-performing team environment by mentoring junior team members, removing obstacles, and holding team members accountable for quality and delivery

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.

    + Trained in PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

    + 1–4 years of relevant experience managing Network and Telecom projects, including at least one year in a formal project management role.

    + Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    + Proven expertise in accounting and financial management, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking effectively.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

    + Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, organizational excellence, and problem-solving.

    + Demonstrates leadership qualities such as adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments
