Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Plainview, New York. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and tax practices, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Manage sales tax reporting and remittance processes.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly documented and balanced.

• Utilize FUND E-Z software for efficient financial tracking and reporting.

• Collaborate with team members to support audits and financial reviews.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all accounting activities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in corporate tax preparation and sales tax compliance.

• Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger management.

• Hands-on experience with FUND E-Z accounting software preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
