We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Biller and Coder to join our team on a contract basis in Union City, California. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to ensure accurate billing, coding, and insurance authorization processes, contributing to the smooth operation of our healthcare services. Responsibilities:

• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT codes.

• Handle billing functions for outpatient services, ensuring timely submission and reimbursement.

• Manage insurance claims and authorizations, resolving any discrepancies effectively.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify medical information and ensure proper coding.

• Utilize MatrixCare software for billing tasks, with training provided if needed.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed medical plans and billing regulations.

• Generate detailed reports on billing activities and submit them promptly.

• Communicate with insurers to address billing inquiries and ensure compliance with policies.

• Support hospital billing processes and outpatient coding requirements.

Requirements • Proven experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in outpatient and hospital settings.

• Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT codes.

• Familiarity with insurance billing and authorization procedures.

• Strong understanding of managed medical plans and healthcare regulations.

• Experience with MatrixCare software is a plus, but training can be provided.

• Certification in medical coding is highly preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
