We are looking for a skilled Budget Manager to join our client's team in Fort Worth, Texas, within the logistics industry. In this role, you will oversee financial planning and management, focusing on operating and capital expenditure budgets. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and analysis while collaborating with various departments to optimize budgetary processes. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and review of operating expenses for car programs, repair initiatives, and in-house manufacturing operations.

• Prepare journal entries, monthly close reports, and variance analyses to support accurate forecasting and financial closing activities.

• Develop and present the annual operating and capital plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Monitor and compare actual expenses against authorized budgets, providing insights to support financial decision-making.

• Collaborate with business partners to establish capital expenditure plans and secure necessary approvals.

• Present financial data and analysis to field and headquarters personnel to support operational reviews.

• Support mechanical operations teams by providing guidance and assistance in managing budgetary areas.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop metrics and reporting tools that aid in operational and financial decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with cost accounting principles and provide structured training sessions on financial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a finance-related field Big 4 Audit highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Experience in preparing detailed financial reports, analyses, and correspondence.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, CPA certification.

• Familiarity with SAP and other data retrieval and analysis tools is a plus.
