Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join our team in the medical field. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical billing, claims, and payments while adhering to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle systems to efficiently manage financial workflows and billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Medical Billing Operations: Generate and submit accurate invoices for medical services, including claims to insurance companies, private payers, and government healthcare programs.

+ Oracle Utilization: Use Oracle ERP systems to manage billing processes, track payments, and ensure accurate record-keeping across financial platforms.

+ Claims Processing: Review, correct, and process patient claims to minimize denials and maximize reimbursement accuracy.

+ Reconciliation: Reconcile payments and accounts regularly, ensuring all billing discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

+ Revenue Cycle Management: Assist in managing the revenue cycle by maintaining accurate patient accounts, including tracking payments and outstanding balances.

+ Compliance Assurance: Ensure billing and coding adhere to healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, and follow industry standards to avoid penalties.

+ Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable for management and stakeholders using Oracle reporting tools.

+ Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the finance, operations, and patient services teams to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.

+ Customer Service: Address patient inquiries regarding bills and insurance claims calmly and professionally.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Experience: 3+ years of medical billing experience; knowledge of healthcare billing practices and coding (e.g., ICD-10, CPT) is required.

+ Oracle Proficiency: Experience with Oracle ERP systems for billing and financial workflows is essential.

+ Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.

+ Technical Skills:

+ Familiarity with billing software and medical billing systems.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

+ Attention to Detail: Proven ability to ensure billing accuracy and resolve discrepancies independently.

+ Knowledge of Regulations: Strong understanding of healthcare laws and compliance requirements (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines).

+ Customer Service Skills: Exceptional communication skills for patient and payer interactions.

+ Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently within a fast-paced medical environment.
