Description

This hybrid role combines responsibilities in information security engineering and full stack development, with a strong emphasis on privileged access management, secure software development, and cloud-native architecture.

The position is based in Philadelphia, PA, requiring 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

Security Engineering

+ Develop and maintain information security strategy and architecture.

+ Implement and manage Privileged Access Management (PAM) technologies.

+ Transition critical resources to a privileged access workstation model.

+ Redesign and validate security controls and administrative access models.

+ Identify and integrate appropriate technologies and data sources for security initiatives.

+ Apply best practices in host hardening, auditing, logging, monitoring, and network security.

+ Support SIEM deployments, anomaly detection, PKI, and access control mechanisms.

Software Development

+ Architect and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot and Spring Security.

+ Build responsive UI components using Angular.

+ Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other modern authentication/authorization protocols.

+ Ensure secure access and data protection across applications.

+ Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like SAST, DAST, and container security scanners.

+ Promote secure coding practices and cloud deployment standards.

+ Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications on AWS.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

+ Experience:

+ 5+ years in Security Engineering or related roles.

+ Hands-on backend development with Java and Spring Framework.

+ Working with Active Directory or similar directory services.

+ Experience with CyberArk or other PAM tools.

+ Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.

+ Proficiency in Angular for UI development.

+ Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM).

+ CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse).

+ Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

Security Knowledge:

+ DevSecOps principles and secure software delivery.

+ Host hardening, network security, SIEM, PKI, and anomaly detection.

Certifications:

+ CISSP preferred.

+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer (preferred).

Preferred Skills

+ Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).

+ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
