Description We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to take a leadership role in overseeing all aspects of accounting operations for our organization. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who can implement effective accounting practices to support the company’s growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage a lean accounting function and prepare it for rapid expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition for project-based accounting in compliance with ASC 606 standards.

• Lead month-end close processes, including account reconciliations and adherence to compliance requirements.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and trial balances.

• Provide expertise in using Deltek Vision software for project financial management, reporting, and custom report creation.

• Support annual overhead rate audits and submissions in collaboration with state departments of transportation.

• Facilitate annual financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Play a pivotal role in acquisition integration efforts and align financial systems post-merger.

• Drive improvements in internal controls and spearhead automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

• Develop and manage a skilled accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration across the department. Requirements • At least 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management with a strong attention to detail.

• Strong proficiency in Deltek Vision software for project accounting and reporting.

• Extensive experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

• Proven ability to conduct account reconciliations and prepare accurate financial statements.

• In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and project accounting methodologies.

• Familiarity with work-in-progress (WIP) accounting and percentage-of-completion calculations.

• Demonstrated success in leading financial statement audits and ensuring compliance.

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a small accounting team.
