Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in New York, New York. In this role, you will support financial operations by handling accounts payable and receivable tasks, ensuring accurate data entry, and assisting with invoice processing. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounting systems and contribute to the seamless functioning of our finance department. This person must have interior design experience using Studio Designer.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices.

• Handle accounts receivable (AR) tasks, such as tracking payments and generating statements.

• Utilize Studio Designer and QuickBooks software to maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

• Process invoices efficiently and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Collaborate with team members to support the financial operations of the business.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

• Assist with other accounting-related duties as assigned to meet departmental goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Studio Designer and QuickBooks software is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and resolving discrepancies.

• Background in or interest in interior design is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
