Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven ability to manage month-end close processes and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

• Prepare and post journal entries with precision and attention to detail.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate and properly accounted for.

• Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting processes and maintain organized financial records.

• Process and monitor accounts payable (AP) transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Prepare and manage accruals to align expenses with revenue recognition. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliations.

• Strong proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.

• Demonstrated expertise in account and bank reconciliation processes.

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

• Solid knowledge of accounts payable processes and accrual accounting.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of financial data.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
