Section II: Description of duties performed:
General Summary of this Position:
This 10-hour-per-week position is responsible for leading internal and external communications, coordination, and community engagement efforts in Park County. The role supports a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and accountability within the Park County team by promoting HRDC’s mission and values through proactive, transparent, and relationship-driven communication. This position serves as a key connector—ensuring consistent information-sharing across teams and cultivating strong partnerships throughout the community.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Outreach Coordination/Community Engagement/Partner Development (50%)
+ Represent HRDC at community events, meetings, and trainings to maintain a strong and consistent agency presence in Park County.
+ Serve as a local resource and point of contact for all HRDC programs, promoting awareness and access to services through public speaking, outreach, and education.
+ Support HRDC’s fundraising and outreach efforts in collaboration with the Resource Development team, ensuring activities reflect the unique needs and strengths of the Park County community.
+ Participate in community needs assessments and help identify resources and opportunities that support local customers and inform HRDC programming.
+ Engage regularly with partner agencies and community stakeholders to ensure service alignment and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration.
+ Work closely with the Communications team to develop external messaging, create marketing materials, and craft community-specific service summaries.
+ Foster effective, relationship-centered communication with staff, customers, and service providers.
+ Always represent HRDC in a professional and mission-aligned manner.
2. Internal Communication and Team Alignment (40%)
+ Serve as the primary internal communications lead for the Park County team, ensuring staff stay informed about agency-wide updates, priorities, and decisions. Attend weekly homeroom meetings and monthly manager’s meetings.
+ Lead and facilitate weekly team meetings to strengthen communication, encourage shared problem-solving, and support cross-program alignment and collaboration.
+ Act as a liaison between the Gallatin County management team and Park County staff, helping to implement internal initiatives and ensure consistent communication across locations.
+ Provide timely feedback from Park County to HRDC leadership to support informed decision-making around staffing, operations, and local needs.
3. Supervision: Reception and Office Management (10%)
+ Support the day-to-day operations of the Park County office to ensure a welcoming, professional, and well-maintained environment for both customers and staff.
+ Oversee front desk functions, helping to ensure strong customer service, clear communication, and consistent application of HRDC policies and procedures.

+ Montana Class D Driver License and appropriate insurance

Education and Experience:
Education:The following course(s) of study or class work usually provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position:
+ Graduation from high school or GED required
+ Some post high school education is preferred
Experience:The following kinds of experience usually provide the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position:
+ Two years work experience that would provide general office skills including computer usage, office machines operation, and general office procedures preferred
+ Eligibility determination experience is preferred
Section III – Supervision
Supervision Received:
+ This position operates under general supervision. The incumbent’s work is primarily assigned by daily workflow and operations.
+ The incumbent is authorized to make decisions as to the timing and sequence of work and the work is performed according to established policies and procedures and/or within applicable laws, rules and regulations governing the tasks being performed
+ Works under the direct supervision of the Program Manager; consults Manager on questions, problems and procedures as they arise

+ This position cannot authorize exceptions to program policy or procedure

+ Prepares documents and forms
+ Prepares vendor claims for Program Manager approval

The incumbent is responsible for the following personal contacts(either in oral or written form) when performing the Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
+ Interacts with the public or consumers daily
+ Interacts with Program Manager weekly or more frequently
+ Interacts with representatives of other service providers on a weekly or more frequent basis
+ Interacts with governmental compliance or auditors to provide information or exchange facts
Confidentiality:
+ The incumbent regularly works with confidential and client data, which if disclosed, may be detrimental to agency/client interests. Release of such information may also violate disclosure laws.
