    Job Overview:

    The Food Runner at our hospital plays a crucial role in our patient care experience. This position involves ensuring the timely delivery of meals to patients, maintaining dietary guidelines, and contributing to a positive atmosphere. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent service.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    + Successful completion of general and department specific orientation

    + Previous experience in a food service role

    + Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety standards

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Able to work in very fast paced environment

    Preferred:

    + Experience in a healthcare setting

    + Certification in food handling and safety

    + Bilingual abilities

    + Excellent problem solving skills

    Scheduling Requirements:

    + This is a part time position with shift working from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

    + The candidate must be available to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

    Essential Functions:

    + Deliver meals to patients in a timely and respectful manner

    + Adhere to dietary restrictions and guidelines for each patient

    + Collaborate with healthcare and dietary team to ensure patient satisfaction

    + Assist in inventory management and meal preparation as needed.
