The **Operations and Events Coordinator** will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Alexandria LaunchLabs – Seattle and in cultivating a vibrant, collaborative community across Alexandria’s Seattle campuses. This individual will be the face of LaunchLabs on-site, providing exceptional service to member companies, coordinating operational logistics, and leading the execution of community-building events and strategic programming. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about supporting the life science innovation ecosystem in the Puget Sound region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
On-Site Support & Community Engagement
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for LaunchLabs member companies, delivering best-in-class customer service and operational support.
+ Lead onboarding and orientation for new members, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to member companies, including trainings and exit procedures.
+ Manage the LaunchLabs portal, including site calendars, member communications, and resource guides.
+ Coordinate site access for members and guests, working closely with security and facilities teams.
+ Triage member requests and connect requests to Alexandria’s internal teams, external experts, and broader network resources, as appropriate.
LaunchLabs Operations & Administration
+ Oversee daily operations of the LaunchLabs facility, ensuring a clean, functional, and well-stocked workplace.
+ Manage shared lab and office resources, including equipment, IT/AV systems, and vendor services.
+ Support procurement and inventory of lab and office supplies.
+ Assist with administrative tasks, such as invoicing, billing, shipping/receiving, and mail distribution.
+ Maintain vendor contracts and coordinate with building management and service providers as needed.
Regional Events & Strategic Programming
+ Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of community events across Alexandria’s regional campuses, including professional development workshops, networking mixers, and social gatherings.
+ Collaborate with the LaunchLabs and regional leadership teams to design and deliver strategic programming that supports member growth and ecosystem engagement.
+ Manage event logistics, vendor coordination, marketing communications, and on-site hosting.
+ Support budget planning, track expenses, and manage invoices through NexusPayables.
+ Maintain and update regional contact databases and assist with internal team meetings and events.
Experience & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
+ 2+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or event coordination, ideally in a shared office, coworking, or life science environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
+ Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and client-focused mindset.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with CRM or facilities management platforms a plus.
+ Interest in or familiarity with the life sciences, biotech, or innovation ecosystems is preferred.
The expected base hourly wage range for this position is $33.66 to $40.87 USD hourly, plus annual discretionary bonus. This hourly wage range is an estimate, and the actual hourly wage may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company’s compensation practices.
