    Job Summary

    Strawser Construction Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, is growing! We provide advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for Laborers to fill our crews.

    Main Responsibilities

    + General laborer duties associated with being a laborer includes extended periods of walking, laying materials in accordance with job specs, and cleaning roadway surfaces as needed

    + May operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, including the transportation of construction equipment and materials

    + Will be required to safely maintain traffic control including flagging duties

    + Keep equipment and tools in good working condition

    + Work in a team-oriented environment

    + Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew

     

    Skills

     

    + Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

    + CDL preferred, must obtain within one year

    + Previous highway experience preferred, OSHA 10 Hour Training or Flagger Certification a Plus!

    + Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays

    + Must be able to travel 75-90% of time

    + Must adhere to our safety practices and procedures at all times

    + Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

    + Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    + Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment

    + Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    + Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
