    Job Description

    The Operations Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with operations experience in the cruise industry or expertise in management and fleet movement. This position involves quality control through accurate reporting of data to suppliers, confirming services or passenger numbers, and managing costs through confirmed services. The role requires adherence to organizational policies and applicable laws.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure quality control by accurately reporting data to suppliers.

    + Manage and confirm services to control costs.

    + Carry out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

    + Collaborate with the Reservations Department to coordinate all land-related requests and activities.

    + Ensure all custom and special requests are handled efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + Operations experience is required.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced spreadsheet skills.

    + Problem management and vendor management skills.

    + Ability to analyze the risk, benefit, and impact of decisions on the present and future business environment.

    + Strong leadership and management capabilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

    + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

    + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    + Proficiency in Database Software, Internet Software, Inventory Software, Project Management Software, Spreadsheet Software, Word Processing Software, Electronic Mail Software, In-house Reservation Software.

    + Knowledge of geography is helpful.

    + Ability to look at situations from several points of view.

    + Demonstrable competence in team building, development of objectives and goals, and goal accomplishment.

    + May require some travel on an as-needed basis.

    Work Environment

    The Operations Coordinator will work in the Operations department alongside a team of about 8-12 operations personnel. Regular collaboration with the Reservations Department (Group/FIT) is required to coordinate all land-related requests and activities. The work environment is dynamic and involves close interaction with various teams to ensure efficiency and quality service delivery.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $29.32 - $29.32/hr.
