_Workforce Support Coach_** **_– St. Francis Downtown - Greenville, SC_
Job Summary:
The Part-Time Workforce Support Coach supports adults with disabilities in developing transferable skills for employment in the community and healthcare setting. The Workforce Support Coach will provide hands-on guidance, encouragement, and workplace training to help participants gain confidence and independence in a variety of community-based roles.
Essential Functions:
+ Support program participants in learning and applying job-related skills in real-world healthcare settings.
+ Provide individualized coaching and instruction to reinforce workplace expectations, social skills, and professional behaviors.
+ Collaborate with hospital staff and community partners to create a supportive work environment.
+ Assist with problem-solving, accommodations, and job modifications as needed.
+ Monitor participant progress, provide constructive feedback, and document observations.
+ Encourage self-advocacy and independence while maintaining a safe and structured learning experience.
+ Communicate effectively with participants, program staff, families, and employers to ensure a successful training experience.
+ Collaborate with Workforce Coordinator to support interns.

Education:
Associate or bachelor’s Degree in one or more of the following fields of study:
+ Special Education
+ Rehabilitation Counseling
+ Psychology
+ Social Work
+ Human Services
+ Vocational Rehabilitation
Licensing & Certifications:
+ N/A
Experience:
+ 2 years of recent experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational, educational, or coaching capacity.
+ Understanding of job readiness skills, workplace expectations, and employment supports.
+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
+ Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering workplace support among all staff.
+ Must pass background check and meet any required health and safety standards.
Training
+ Prior knowledge and use of data-collection systems pertinent to job evaluations and skills assessments
+ Microsoft Office
