Safety

* Makes sure all safety procedures are being followed

* Hold employees accountable for working within the rules and proactively identifying and removing hazards

* Reports all near misses, incidents, first aid rendered, or unsafe working conditions to the Plant Manager and Safety Manager immediately without exception

* Administers and models safety in his/her area of responsibility

* Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA and plant safety standards

* Responsible for the safety and well-being of self and employees

Quality

* Responsible for product safety and product quality, and reports product safety and product quality problems to Senior Management or Quality Manager

Essential Job Duties

* Perform all purchasing functions for the plant

* Complete 3-way matches for all purchases

* Works with vendors to lower costs of inventoried supplies purchased

* Orders and maintains all inventoried materials except for board and corrugated

* Tracks parts from order to delivery

* Helps put parts into Integrity system

* Responsible for organizing Parts Room

* Help with monthly parts inventory cycle count

* Help operators and team leaders check parts in and out of the parts room

* Works with spare parts team to enter parts into JDE system

* Reviews all purchase requisitions in JDE system for required information and accuracy

* Reviews and verifies all purchases utilizing the P-card for proper information and receipts

* Reconcile and manage RNV/AVM weekly

* Coordinates with home office accounts payable department to manage needed invoice reconciliations

* Ensures all purchasing functions follow established Internal Control Policies and Procedures

* Work with and without direction to complete tasks and insure no interruption of production flow

* Ability to anticipate potential supply issues and arrange/or offer alternative plans to maintain material sources

* Maintains and reconciles supplies inventoried receipts and verifies accuracy of month end inventory

* Completes all required accounts payable accruals and related functions for month end close

* Completes new vendor requests

* Obtain tax verification as necessary

* Develop, train, and involve 1-2 floor leaders to perform the Purchasing Clerk duties during his/her absence

Qualifications:

Highschool diploma

0-2 years experience of issuing and managing purchasing order

0-2 years experience using Microsoft Office

Attention to detail is a must
