    Position Overview:

    The Dishwasher is responsible for removing and returning all classroom utensils and containers and washing and drying these items in accordance with the regulations of the Board of Health.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + To pick up each classroom’s carrier containing utensils, serving bowls, and inserts used in preparation or serving of breakfast and lunch

    + To maintain an organized method of cleaning each classroom’s items to ensure against lost/misplaced items

    + To follow the method of washing and sanitizing the items used to meet the standards required by the Board of Health

    + To be responsible for keeping the work area-sink, sink drainer and floor clean, free of food and dry

    + To communicate in a caring and friendly manner with children, staff, and parents

    + Assist in emptying classroom trash as requested by full day classroom

    + Check and respond to agency email on a regular basis

    + Have a good working knowledge of MOC policies and procedures, Head Start/Early Head Start, EEC licensing regulations. Follow the programs Child Abuse and Neglect Policy

    + Other duties as assigned within scope

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Access to reliable transportation

    + Job site/assignments may change based upon program needs

    + Must have a suitable Background Record Check (BRC)

    + Fulfillment of all specific health and safety requirements (staff physical every 2 years, with evidence of Mantoux and MMR test, OSHA, First aid and CPR

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and climb stairs

    + Ability to lift children and/or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs

    Compensation:

    A salary within the range of $18.96 to $33.15 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy. Employees in this role are places on the SEIU Non-Teacher Payscale. The candidate’s exact placement will be determined based on factors consistent with MOC’s compensation framework.
