Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) with at least 5 years of relevant experience to support vertical construction projects in Be'er Sheva, Israel, in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

This initial assignment is expected to last 30-36 months, with potential opportunities to transition to other international or U.S.-based projects upon completion.

Ideal candidates will have:

+ Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Construction standards

+ Familiarity with EM 385-1-1, DOT regulations, and local fire codes

+ OSHA 30 certification

+ Prior experience with the Army Corps of Engineers or similar federal agencies such as NAVFAC, DOD (state-level), DOS, or OBO (Overseas Building Operations)

Qualifications:

Education & Experience (one of the following):

+ Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects

+ Minimum 5 years of experience as an SSHO on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects

Additional Requirements:

+ OSHA 30-Hour Certification

+ Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and Construction standards, EM 385-1-1, DOT regulations, and local fire codes

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Bluebeam

+ Strong ability to identify on-site safety risks and respond with appropriate action

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Authorized to work in the U.S.

Work environment:

The SSHO is based at U.S. Military Base at Mashabim Air Base in Be'er Sheva, Israel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
