Job Title: Quality Control Manager
Job Description
Join an exciting 12-month project at Norfolk Naval, focused on renovating a hanger valued at $45M. This position offers a manageable workload with potential for involvement in future projects. Candidates must possess a QCM certification and have over two years of experience as a Quality Control Manager.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement project-specific quality control measures.
+ Inspect and evaluate work areas according to plans, specifications, and contract documents, reporting deficiencies and elevating issues to ensure safety and quality.
+ Develop, gather, maintain, and submit work plans, submittals, and reports.
+ Ensure subcontractors are informed of all project quality control standards.
+ Plan and conduct a three-phase inspection program including preparatory meetings, initial phase inspections, follow-up inspections, and final phase inspections.
+ Lead and document quality control meetings with the project team and/or customers, providing written minutes.
+ Provide daily quality control reports to ensure timely achievement of quality outcomes.
+ Verify and document that all materials/equipment meet approved standards and are handled appropriately.
+ Review as-built drawings to ensure currency and compliance with contract drawings.
+ Review the Job Site Safety Plan and verify safety measures during all phases of control.
+ Stop work, reject materials/equipment, and direct removal and replacement of non-compliant work.
+ Communicate effectively and professionally with trades, manufacturers, suppliers, construction staff, and customer representatives.
Essential Skills
+ Active QCM certification.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quality Control Manager.
+ Experience working on Federal Construction projects.
+ Ability to obtain security clearance for federal projects.
+ Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, and various software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, or related field preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in similar-sized projects.
+ Current OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and USACE Construction Quality Control Management certifications, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
+ Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors.
+ Safety experience
+ CHST, OSHA 30, CPR, and EM385 certifications required.
+ Valid driver's license.
Work Environment
This role involves onsite quality control management of a hanger renovation project at Oceana. Construction work attire is required, and the typical working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
