    Maintenance Technician

    Job Description:

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled, safety-oriented **Maintenance Technician** to support the operational efficiency of our facility. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Comply with and actively promote all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and facility guidelines.

    + Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including motors, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and manual/automated presses.

    + Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, power tools, and hand tools.

    + Perform electrical maintenance tasks such as installing and repairing motors, lighting systems, outlets, switches, and conduit.

    + Conduct general facility maintenance including plumbing, welding, carpentry, drywall repair, and soldering.

    + Fabricate custom parts, fixtures, and supports as needed to support production and facility needs.

    + Execute preventive maintenance (TPM) on critical systems including HVAC, air compressors, water systems, and ventilation.

    + Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, manage work orders, and track inventory and MRO parts.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives including 6S, lean manufacturing, and energy efficiency projects.

    + Perform routine building inspections and preventative/corrective maintenance and respond to facility-related issues in a timely manner.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support equipment installations, upgrades, and layout changes.

    + Maintain compliance with budgetary constraints and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Certified forklift operator; comfortable operating aerial lifts and other powered industrial equipment.

    + Skilled in arc welding, soldering, and industrial wiring.

    + Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, MP2, Fiix).

    + Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 6S/5S workplace organization.

    + Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation systems.

    + Experience with drywall patching, painting, and toilet installation/repair.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

    + Fluency in English with strong communication skills, written and oral

    Education & Experience Requirements

    + Completion of 40 semester hours of industrial trade training **or** a minimum of 5 years of hands-on general maintenance experience.

    + Licensed or qualified electrician with working knowledge of basic electronics and control systems.
