Job Title: Field Service Controls TechnicianPosition Overview
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Controls Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of SCADA and motor control systems within automated water infrastructure projects. This role ensures the reliable and efficient operation of pumps, valves, and treatment controls across a variety of water applications, including decorative water features, rainwater harvesting systems, and potable/non-potable water distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
+ Install, configure, and maintain SCADA components for water and stormwater systems.
+ Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs for control of pumps, valves, and sensors.
+ Service and optimize motor control systems, including VFDs and soft starters.
+ Integrate field devices using communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and DNP3.
+ Analyze system performance data to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
+ Maintain detailed documentation including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and as-built drawings.
+ Collaborate with engineering, landscape architecture, and water management teams to ensure seamless system integration.
+ Conduct routine maintenance and respond to field service calls for repairs.
+ Adhere to OSHA, NFPA 70E, and local electrical and water safety regulations.

Qualifications
+ Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Water Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
+ Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with SCADA and motor control systems, ideally within water infrastructure.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred).
+ Strong understanding of water conveyance, automation, and control systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot instrumentation, communication networks, and electrical systems in the field.
Work Environment
+ This position includes a company-provided vehicle for field service operations.
+ Approximately 95% of travel will be within the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.
+ Work involves outdoor environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal performance of water infrastructure systems.
+ Strict adherence to safety protocols is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
