Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role provides critical support in the design, drafting, and documentation of mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, assisting in product development, sustaining engineering, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

+ Create and revise mechanical drawings and documentation based on engineering requirements.

+ Prepare detail and assembly drawings with corresponding parts lists for production release.

+ Generate and implement Engineering Changes (ECs) in collaboration with experienced engineers.

+ Participate in mechanical packaging design reviews and product improvement efforts.

+ Assist in writing and maintaining technical documents and manuals.

+ Support initiatives related to cost reduction and product sustainability.

+ Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Essential Skills

+ Proficient in SolidWorks (CSWP or better a plus).

+ 0 to 3 years experience in mechanical engineering.

+ Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

+ Ability to obtain security clearance.

+ Experience with CAD and 3D CAD.

+ Knowledge of aluminum and sheet metal fabrication.

+ Understanding of electro-mechanical packaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

+ Understanding of materials including aluminum, steel, plastics, and finishing techniques.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes including sheet metal fabrication.

+ Familiarity with electronic components.

Work Environment

This role requires some travel and interaction with software on the video wall side. The work environment includes both office and lab settings, with interactions with a team of two mechanical engineers, an experienced electronics technician, and electrical engineers in separate business areas. The position is primarily onsite, with flexibility offered when needed. Standard working hours are 8-5, Monday to Friday, with potential for flexibility. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
