*Part-Time Medical Assistant – Sports Medicine (Bridgewater, NJ)*

About the Role

Join a fast-paced, high-volume sports medicine practice in Bridgewater, NJ, where you’ll support a dynamic team of physicians and physician assistants. We’re looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who thrives in a busy environment, adapts to different personalities, and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide compassionate care to patients with sports-related injuries and chronic conditions

+ Perform patient intakes, rooming, and vital checks

+ Reconcile medications and update patient histories

+ Prepare charts and exam rooms prior to visits

+ Complete prior authorizations and manage inventory

+ Triage phone calls and respond to patient/physician inquiries

+ Maintain accurate records in Athena EMR

Must-Haves:

+ 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant

+ CMA certification and diploma from an accredited MA program

+ Comfortable in a fast-paced sports medicine setting

+ Strong EMR experience (Athena preferred)

Nice-to-Haves:

+ Experience with pediatric patients

+ Adaptability to work with both fast- and slow-paced providers

Work Environment

+ Support 5 sports medicine physicians and multiple PAs

+ Work alongside a team of 5+ MAs (growing to 7)

+ High patient volume: 80–100 patients/day across the office

+ Patients range from pediatric athletes to older adults managing arthritis or recovering from surgery

Schedule

+ Monday:7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

+ Thursday:7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

+ Friday:7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

+ (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
