The Job:

The 3PL Operations Supplier Manager is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure optimal performance across transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. This role plays a critical part in driving cost efficiency, service level improvement, and operational excellence through strong supplier relationships, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a 3PL Operations Supplier Manager, you’ll get to:

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners across warehousing operations. Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient execution of inbound, outbound, and inventory processes.

+ Manage contract compliance, performance reviews, and escalation resolution with third-party providers.

+ Conduct regular business reviews to assess KPIs, service level agreements (SLAs), and cost structures. Develop and monitor performance metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to evaluate 3PL effectiveness.

+ Partner with internal stakeholders to align 3PL performance with business objectives and customer expectations.

+ Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards at 3PL-managed facilities.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Identify root causes of service failures and lead corrective action plans.

+ Support negotiation and renewal of 3PL agreements in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.

+ Monitor billing accuracy, validate rate adherence, and resolve invoicing discrepancies.

+ Analyze cost drivers and propose actions to improve financial performance.

+ Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic initiatives such as network optimization, systems integration, and automation.

The Person:

You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You’re not intimidated by innovation. In fact, you embrace it. You also have:

+ Bachelor’s Degree concentrating in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Finance

+ 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced distribution center environment, with at least 2 years in 3PL Management

+ Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other logistics software.

+ Proficiency in data analysis to identify trends and make informed decisions. Proven experience managing KPIs, contracts, and operational service levels.

+ Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and 3PL providers.
