    The pay range is $131,000.00 - $236,000.00

    A role in **Global Inventory Management** means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You’ll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you’ll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

    As a Director, Inventory Management- Strategic Initiatives, Fresh Food, you will:

    + Drive the Fresh Food pyramid modernization efforts for Inventory Management in partnership with leaders from planning, merchandising, and enterprise strategy team.

    + Be a key driver on the enterprise acceleration work across many workstreams to ensure the new process and strategy will drive optimal inventory strategy and champion financial discipline and routines.

    + Be an influential leader across the organization and be skilled at influencing upward to senior leaders to champion change. Enterprise acceleration workstreams include, but are not limited to: Creating the strategic vision for future Fresh Food inventory management technology through collaboration with business and technology teams, leading business/technical discovery for new technology, and shepherding technology creation from ideation through end-user implementation and continuous improvement, partnering with broader financial technology teams to ensure integration of both technology and business processes

    + Be the voice of the business in multiple system implementations to support Target’s growth and exceeding guests’ expectations. You will engage with cross functional teams throughout the enterprise to balance financial and guest-facing goals through partnerships and collaboration.

    + Be a conduit to the Global Inventory Management team on Enterprise Acceleration efforts in Fresh Food as it scales as well as be an influential leader within the Global Inventory Management leader group and drive broader inventory management strategies.

    + Partner with the IM Operations and Food Inventory Management leadership teams in support of broader initiatives that will support guest reliability, sales and profit.

    About You:

    + 4 year degree or equivalent experience, Masters level degree preferred

    + 8+ years of relevant experience in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, preferably in supporting technology

    + Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management fundamentals, systems, and practical applications.

    + Demonstrated and strong skill in communication, storytelling and ability to influence senior leaders.

    + Financial and business acumen, ability to manage risk.

    + Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to derive actionable insights and forward-thinking recommendations.

    + Ability to operate in a rapidly changing work and industry environment and manage complex priorities and situations with degrees of variation and uncertainty.

    + Ability to tie back to goals and objectives for the team, reviewing competing deliverables and gather inputs needed to make decisions around the importance or urgency of a situation/project/work

    + Take an enterprise mindset that understands the impact of decisions on own business and partner organizations.

    + Ability to act with independence in a complex business model. Organizational savviness to create and move change throughout the enterprise.

    + Ability to bring multiple opinions together and find consensus

    + Lead efforts to drive commitment to belonging

     

    This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
