    Production Associate

    Overview

     

    Join a worldwide leader in manufacturing rubber, plastic, and chemical products as a Production Associate. Our facility manufactures a variety of plastic compounds used across multiple industries, including thermoplastics, custom compounds, plastic adhesives, and bioplastics. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining production goals and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective production value and performance. The typical schedule will be 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Monday - Friday. If you are interested in this position, then please apply and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out within 24-48 hours.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow packaging instructions to properly complete pack outs.

    + Assist in cleaning equipment and adhering to department cleaning procedures.

    + Review and complete assigned work orders.

    + Participate in the general assembly of boxes and other required packages.

    + Handle boxes and Gaylords, which can weigh up to 22lbs when empty, assembling up to 300 boxes per shift.

    + Tape boxes, make labels, and ensure the correct labels are placed.

    + Contribute to warehouse, production, and rail yard sanitation.

    + Inspect products to identify and remove contaminants.

    + Assist with floor loads and other restacking projects.

    + Execute work orders for repacks: box to bag, box to box, super sack to box.

    + Lift up to 55lbs as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, general production, and packing.

    + Experience in a fast-paced environment.

    + Ability to lift up to 55lbs.

    + General labor and material handling skills.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work within a large facility in a team of 5-10 people, where a strong emphasis is placed on teamwork and adaptability. The environment is fast-paced, loud, and can be dirty depending on the area of the facility in which you are working. Shift options include 2nd shift (12pm-8:30pm)with openings from Monday to through Friday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
