Job Title: Packing Associate
Job Description
The successful Distribution Center (DC) Packer is responsible for assembling customer orders from stock by placing them on pallets or in bins, verifying items on the order for accuracy, and packing all items using proper procedures. The employee will ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner and all appropriate updates are made in the computer system. The employee may be asked to assist with receiving incoming shipments, stocking, and organizing incoming items as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble customer orders from stock by placing orders on pallets or in bins.
+ Verify items on order for accuracy.
+ Pack all items using proper procedures to prevent damages.
+ Include packing slip with each order.
+ Process orders through online shipping service or other approved carriers.
+ Contribute to regular and special inventories, audits, and counts.
+ Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
+ Demonstrate an understanding of quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
+ Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working environment.
+ Make recommendations and provide feedback to improve operational excellence and efficiency.
+ Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
+ Follow all safety procedures by SOP local instruction and by supervision.
+ Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of warehouse experience, including packing orders and operating sit-down forklifts.
+ Ability to speak Spanish.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift 100lbs regularly.
+ Ability to work occasional overtime on Saturdays.
+ Experience in a non-temp-controlled work environment.
Available Shift & Pay
+ 1st shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
+ OT is every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, which is typically voluntary.
+ Mandatory Saturday work will be communicated at least a day prior.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, which is typically voluntary. Mandatory Saturday work will be communicated at least a day prior. The dress code includes steel toe boots/shoes, jeans/work pants or shorts, and a t-shirt. The environment is non-temp-controlled, requiring tolerance for varying temperatures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
