Job Title: Mitigation Technician
Job Description
As a Mitigation Technician, you will be the first responder to urgent calls regarding property damage projects. Your primary task will be to assess damages, halt the progression of damage, and initiate immediate mitigation efforts to prepare the property for subsequent restoration stages. This might include tasks such as lifting carpet from flooded basements, cutting drywall to prevent mold growth, moving furniture, or setting up drying equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Assess property damage and initiate mitigation efforts.
+ Perform complete demolition processes and manual labor such as water mitigation, flooring removal, and moving furniture.
+ Set up and take down necessary equipment.
+ Document job sites by taking pictures and cleaning up debris.
+ Record moisture details using industry-specific apps and software.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in restoration, drywall, demolition, construction, and mitigation.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Current valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Plumbing experience or knowledge is helpful.
+ Ability to lift 60 lbs.
+ Ability to work in various environments including indoors, outdoors, inclement weather, smoke, or other hazards associated with demolition or remodeling.
+ Reliability and strong work ethic.
+ Experience in restoration and water mitigation is preferred but not required.

Work Environment
The typical schedule is from 7:30 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of overtime. The role includes being on call for scheduled days, which may fall on holidays, weekends, or nights. The work environment includes a variety of settings indoors and outdoors, often involving inclement weather or conditions typical of demolition or remodeling projects.

This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
