Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Inspection Specialist

Job Description

As a Mechanical and Electrical Inspection Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of complex mechanical equipment and electrical/electronic apparatus. You will set up and test electronic components to ensure they meet manufacturing standards, record defects, and make critical decisions regarding quality. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and buyers to communicate defect information and corrective actions. Your role will involve working from detailed drawings and specifications and overseeing the review and generation of inspection documents.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections of complex equipment and apparatus.

+ Set up and test electronic components for conformity to manufacturing standards.

+ Record type and quantity of defects and make decisions on acceptable quality.

+ Determine reasons for rejects and decide on appropriate disposition.

+ Collaborate with suppliers and buyers to communicate defect information and corrective action responses.

+ Work from complex and detailed drawings and specifications.

+ Review and generate inspection documents.

+ Utilize a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 10,000 hours of experience to understand inspection principles and procedures.

+ Familiarity with inspection instruments and their purpose.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing methods and inspection techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.

+ Capability to carry out additional tasks as designated by the supervisor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51604.00 - $61256.00/yr.
