Job Title: Residential Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Residential Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of a 580-unit garden-style apartment complex in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for completing general maintenance repairs, managing apartment turnovers, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining the grounds. This position requires heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
+ Perform all aspects of maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
+ Resolve maintenance issues promptly without supervision.
+ Repair and maintain kitchen and bathroom plumbing fixtures and appliances.
+ Prepare or assist in preparing vacant apartments to a market-ready condition.
+ Report any maintenance problems to the supervisor.
+ Inform the supervisor of additional maintenance work needed to improve or maintain the property.
+ Perform snow and ice removal from sidewalks and parking lots.
+ Maintain mold awareness.
+ Pick up trash seen on the grounds.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical, HVAC, repair, and facilities maintenance.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Proficiency in residential or multi-family carpentry and plumbing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 years of experience in residential building operations and maintenance.
+ Ownership of basic tools.
+ Ability to maintain and repair HVAC systems, heaters, pumps, compressors, and water systems.
+ Proficiency in using smartphones and computers.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Must live within 30 minutes of the work site.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/yr.
