    Description

    We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused **Machine Operator** to join our production team in a dynamic **manufacturing facility** . This hands-on role involves operating shredding equipment to process metal, plastic, or paper waste while using a **forklift and pallet jack** to load and unload inbound/outbound trailer shipments. You will collaborate closely with drivers and manufacturing technicians to maintain a fast-paced and efficient production flow.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Operate industrial shredders according to safety and production standards.

    + Safely transport raw materials and finished product using forklifts and pallet jacks.

    + Load and unload truck trailers for material movement.

    + Inspect and maintain shredding equipment; report issues promptly.

    + Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.

    + Ensure proper labeling and quality control of shredded output.

    + Communicate clearly with team members to support efficient operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in machine operation and general labor.

    + Ability to operate sit-down forklifts.

    + Familiarity with light industrial manufacturing processes and safety procedures.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically active environments.

    + Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production guidelines.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
