Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
A large food and beverage manufacturer is urgently seeking two Machine Operators to join their expanding team. This role is essential in maintaining machine operations to ensure efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain the operations of the machine, including the operator of filler and wash cycles.
+ Reload and maintain continuous operation by loading paper cartons, bottles, and juices, including changing silos.
+ Monitor production quantities to ensure correct quantities are run according to the production schedule.
+ Complete necessary efficiency paperwork and monitor weights of filled cartons, dye checking for leaks.
+ Ensure compliance with product specifications and correct codes utilization.
+ Perform necessary quality checks and testing as directed by the Quality Department or management.
+ Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety rules, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
+ Ensure machines are running at standard efficiency.
+ Perform routine maintenance, including filling peroxide, changing filters, defective u-cups in valves, and maintaining fluid levels in coders.
+ Accurately record production, machine efficiency, inefficiencies, and machine downtime to meet the production schedule.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in inspection, using hand tools and tape measures.
+ Proficiency as a Machine Operator with experience in food and beverage packaging equipment.
+ Ability to train others in machine operation, production, and packaging processes.
+ At least 1 year in food and beverage industry and 3-5 years in machine operating experience.
+ Computer literacy is essential due to the introduction of Smart TVs and new software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred candidates will come from a food and beverage experience.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team with a positive attitude.
+ Flexibility to work overtime, Saturdays or Sundays.
+ Previous lead experience is a plus, as the candidate will assist in training machine operators.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellington, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
