Job Title: General Laborer for Cabinet Building Company

Job Description

Join a dynamic custom cabinetry facility where you will play a key role in the pre-finish department. Our team specializes in custom woodworking for both commercial and residential projects. Your primary responsibilities will include applying stain and topcoat to wood products, sanding, painting, and performing visual inspections. You will also assist with assembling cabinets and conducting general housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

+ Apply stain and topcoat to wood products using manual techniques when necessary.

+ Conduct sanding, painting, and visual inspections of wood products.

+ Assemble cabinets, doors, frames, and other related components.

+ Assist with warehouse duties, including organizing stock and loading/unloading products.

+ Maintain cleanliness of the workspace by picking up trash and sweeping.

+ Participate in deliveries by loading/unloading cabinets at sites.

+ Operate power equipment such as table saws, shapers, routers, and profilers.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with woodworking and cabinetry processes.

+ Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with sandblasting, wood cutting, and wood finishing.

+ Familiarity with paint booth and paint sprayer operations.

Work Environment

Work in a clean woodworking facility with some areas containing sawdust. The environment has a natural wood and stain aroma, so comfort with this is necessary. Our work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 6am to 3pm, with potential for overtime in the summer. Enjoy a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks each day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
