Job Title: Finish Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including installing and adjusting doors, windows, and hardware, painting, performing light electrical and plumbing duties, and framing and drywall work. Your role will also involve cleaning up paint and caulking, and carrying out various repairs such as fixing sliding glass doors or kitchen drawers.

Responsibilities

+ Install and adjust doors, windows, and hardware.

+ Perform painting tasks and touch-ups.

+ Conduct light electrical and plumbing duties, such as switching out light fixtures or fixing leaks.

+ Frame and install/hang drywall, as well as repair it.

+ Clean up paint and caulking.

+ Execute various repairs, including fixing sliding glass doors and kitchen drawers.

+ Complete punch list duties efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 3 years of construction experience.

+ Proficiency in carpentry and finish carpentry work.

+ Ability to complete punch list items effectively.

+ Experience with framing, drywall, hand tool usage, and installation work.

+ Familiarity with commercial construction, rough carpentry, doors, metal stud, and tape measure usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with finishing duties such as installing doors, windows, and adjusting cabinets.

+ Familiarity with commercial construction is a plus.

+ Basic 'handyman' skills including light electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, and framing.

Work Environment

Work a standard Monday to Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, with minimal overtime. Most projects are in the greater Nashville area, with some travel to Huntsville and Memphis. When traveling, enjoy a per diem, mileage reimbursement, and paid accommodations. All necessary PPE, except for steel toe boots, will be provided. Bring your own reliable transportation and tools, as you will be expected to travel and work independently on jobs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
