About this Job
Imperial Calcasieu Human Services Authority (ImCal HSA) exists so that citizens with mental health, addictions, and developmental challenges residing in the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis are empowered, and self-determination is valued such that individuals live a satisfying, hopeful, and contributing life.
We're looking for a Community Service Professional to join our Developmental Disabilities Division . Our Developmental Disabilities Division is committed to ensuring quality services, serving as the Single Point of Entry (SPOE) into the developmental disabilities services system.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in providing health or developmentally disabled services, counseling, health care management, or social services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience plus one year of experience in providing health or developmentally disabled services, counseling, health care management, or social services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in providing health or developmentally disabled services, counseling, health care management, or social services; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field, nursing, public health; public, hospital, or health administration; speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders; physical, occupational, recreational, or music therapy.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ In this role, you will: Receive/screen inquiries/calls relative to persons contacting the Regional Office initiating appropriate disposition for assistance to person.
+ Conduct assessments, refer and develop support profiles/support plans for persons seeking system entry or services within the Developmental Disabilities Service System. Assists individuals in choosing appropriate goals/services making recommendations for specific support needs based on information gathered by assessments and by personal interview and information from outside sources.
+ Analyze evaluative information, identify and prioritize support needs/resources, develop components of support and/or initiate referrals for support from alternative entities.
+ Outlines appropriate specialized services for program participants based on plan of support and other pertinent data gathered during interview with program applicant/participant.
+ Plans and coordinates statewide program elements as appropriate to need of individual.
+ Monitors applicable program elements for individual satisfaction and for fiscal soundness.

Appointment Type: Probational or permanent
Career Progressi on: This position participates in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
