    Highlights of the Role

    + **Lead by Example in Safety:** Champion a strong safety culture by upholding and enforcing all safetypolicies, procedures, and regulations, while setting the standard forothers to follow.

    + **Drive Operational Excellence:** Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, reducecosts, and enhance the quality, value, and recovery of lumber throughoutthe manufacturing process.

    + **Engage and Develop the Team:** Supervise plant employees, conduct performance reviews, and foster aculture of open, respectful communication to support team growth andaccountability.

    + **Ensure Quality and Compliance:** Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure compliance withsafety, health, and environmental policies across all operations.

    + **Promote Collaboration andAccountability:** Work closely with production andmaintenance teams to meet targets, address deficiencies constructively,and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    What You Bring to the Role

    + **Strong Communication and Leadership:** Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with proven leadership in team environments.

    + **Comprehensive Operational Knowledge:** Experienced in all phases of sawmill operations, with familiarity in optimization considered an asset.

    + **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:** Brings strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support operational efficiency and decision-making.

    + **TechnicalProficiency:** Highly proficient in computer applications, particularly MicrosoftOutlook and Excel.
